Breaking their silence, Far From Figured Out is the first release from The Response since their collaborative album with Rodney Fisher which was released at the end of 2023. The duo of Andrew and Victoria Knopp have had a busy few years, playing across the country in rock act Volts, releasing the debut album from their garage rock project Imperial April, and recently being named finalists for APRA Country Song of the Year for a co-write with Katie Thompson.


Far From Figured Out is an uncharacteristically quiet single for the duo. The squeaky clean hypnotic guitar riff sets the tone for the song immediately. The duo deliberately plays with repetition, introducing subtle variations to keep you on your toes, the consistent pulse becoming a canvas for unexpected twists and turns. The lyrics mirror the unsettled instrumental, “Blinded by design” Andy begins, dictating the mission statement for the next three minutes.
